Level Description

Simply choose the level that fits you best! To keep things running smoothly, switching between levels is unfortunately not possible.

Technique Level: (Open level)

This level is designed for everyone who already has a solid grasp of the basics and wants to improve their dancing from the ground up. The focus here is entirely on Quality of Movement, Connection, and Musicality. It is all about how you move, how you interpret the music, and how you harmoniously interact with your dance partner. While the main spotlight is on technique, we will naturally put it straight into practice using a variety of exciting patterns.

Pattern Level: (Open Level)

The perfect level for anyone looking for fresh input and inspiration for their dancing. At the heart of this class are complex figures, challenging partnerwork, and stylish footwork variations. Here, you will expand your repertoire with creative structures and flashy moves—without neglecting clean leading and precise following. We can’t entirely skip technique here either: while the focus is clearly on the patterns, the right know-how is what ensures they actually work on the dance floor.

Novice Level: (Min. Novice/Sophisticated/Masters Points)

This level is designed for dancers with initial competition experience who have earned at least one WSDC point in the Novice, Sophisticated, or Masters categories. The focus is on the specific skills that will make you stand out while competing – in prelims and finals.

Intermediate/Advanced Level (Min. 16 Novice Points)

Our level for experienced competitors who have collected at least 16 WSDC Novice points or are already ranked higher. Expect high-level concepts, advanced dynamics, and intensive input. Just like in the Novice Level, the focus here is on competing.
